DeRidder Police apprehend escaped inmate

DERIDDER, LA (KPLC) - DeRidder Police have arrested the escaped inmate from Sulphur, according to Christopher Rudy with the DeRidder Police Department.

Michael Moss allegedly escaped Sulphur jail on Nov. 6 around 10 a.m. Mel Estess with Sulphur Police asked for the public’s help in locating Moss.

Rudy says Moss was arrested around 11:45 a.m.

Det. Jeremy Cain says Sulphur police located Moss and DeRidder and asked DeRidder police for assistance.

Moss was originally being held on a charge of aggravated assault from Ascension Parish and had warrant for his arrest.
