L'Auberge du Lac Names 2008 Employee of the Year; Slot Technician Pam Siverand Honored for Excellence in Customer Service

Manager & Supervisor of the Year also Named as Employees Entertained by Nationally Known Act The Passing Zone

LAKE CHARLES, La. - L'Auberge du Lac Casino Resort, a luxury resort in Lake Charles, La., recently announced its Employee of the Year for 2008 along with its Manager of the Year and Supervisor of the Year. The honored employees are chosen for their dedication to exceptional customer service at the award-winning casino resort.

Pam Siverand, a slot technician, was named Employee of the Year at a January 22 gala held at L'Auberge. VP & General Manager Larry Lepinski personally announced Siverand as the winner chosen from a pool of 12 dynamic and dedicated Five Star employees who had previously been named Employee of the Month. L'Auberge employees celebrated the night with a private performance by The Passing Zone, a high energy juggling act made famous by the hit television show America's Got Talent.

Siverand, who joined L'Auberge in September 2007, received a cash prize, a personalized L'Auberge suitcase, VIP parking for one year and a crystal trophy. She will use that luggage to fly to Las Vegas with a guest and join winners from all of the Pinnacle Entertainment properties for a private reception with Pinnacle Chairman and CEO Daniel R. Lee along with a host of surprises and special events. Pam is a native of Westlake; she has one daughter.

Slot shift manager Timothy Ferguson was named Manager of the Year for 2008; he joined L'Auberge in December 2004.  Jared Rising, an accredited Sous chef, earned top honors as Supervisor of the Year; Rising joined the company in January 2006. Both winners received a custom trophy, a cash prize and a gift.

Each month, L'Auberge recognizes five employees, or Five Stars, for their service skills. All of these employees went to great lengths to uphold L'Auberge's quality and image as the most successful and respected entertainment destination in the South. One is then designated as Employee of the Month and becomes eligible for the coveted Employee of the Year designation. Every three months, L'Auberge chooses its Leaders of the Quarter from among the properties managers and supervisors.
