Chester M. Carr

Chester M. Carr, 87, of Lake Charles passed away, Sunday, February 3, 2008 in his residence surrounded by his family.  

 He was a native of Oak Grove, LA and lived in Lake Charles since 1938. Mr. Carr worked in the wholesale grocery business all his life as a salesperson. He attended Lake Area Worship Center. He is survived by his wife, Daisetta Sweezy Carr of Lake Charles; one son, Chester W. Carr of St. Martinville, LA; two grandsons, Casey James Carr and Wesley Carr; one granddaughter, Vickie Gene Buckman and husband Todd and one great grandson, Mason Alexander Buckman; two sisters, Louise Wene and Nona Lumpkin and husband Bryan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, R. C. and Hazel Carr. His funeral will be at 10:00 AM, Wednesday, February 6, 2008 in the Johnson Funeral Home Chapel. Reverend W. H. Yarbrough will officiate. Burial will be in Consolata Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM, Tuesday, and continue from 8:00 AM until time of services, Wednesday, in the funeral home.
