28, of Ragley died on Tuesday, February 5, 2008 in Lafayette, LA. Nicholas was born on April 24, 1979 in Lafayette and was raised in Cameron before moving to Ragley 2 years ago. He was a graduate of South Cameron High School.
Nicholas was self employed as an R.V. technician and also assisted in managing the family business, "The Feed Store." He was a member of Wakefield Methodist Church in Cameron.
He enjoyed working with his hands, especially wood work and drawing.
Survivors include two children, Angel Marie and Nathan Paul Olivier both of Carencro, LA; his parents, Candace and Morris "Joe" Olivier, Jr.; a brother, Franklin Morris Olivier; and a sister, Cara Lee Olivier all of Ragley; maternal grandmothers, Mary D. Henry of Lake Charles and Lorraine Istre of Lafayette; and paternal grandfather, Morris Olivier, Sr. of Lafayette. He was preceded in death by his mother, Linda Istre; a nephew, Joel Morris Olivier; maternal grandfathers, W.F. "Frankie" Henry, Jr. and Paul Istre; paternal grandmother, Frankena Olivier; and an uncle, Norman Olivier.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, February 9, 2008 at Squyres United Methodist Church in Ragley. The Rev. Jason Sheppard will officiate. Burial will be in Risinger Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Johnson Funeral Home. Visitation will be on Friday at the church from 10:00 AM until 9:00 PM with a rosary being recited at 7:00 PM. Visitation will continue on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of services in the church.
Pallbearers will be: Greg Henry, Victor Judice, Brock Olivier, Franklin Olivier, Sylvan Olivier, and Dusty Prejean. Words of comfort to the family may be expressed at www.johnsonfuneralhome.net .
