Ahoy, Captain Santa! The Lake Charles Lighted Boat Parade sets boats afloat, all decked out in Christmas tinsel and glitter Saturday, Dec. 1, at 6:30 p.m. Round up your crew and participate! Entry forms will be accepted through Monday, Nov. 26.
An assortment of seaworthy vehicles reflecting the spirit of the season will parade past hundreds of spectators lining the Lake Charles Civic Center seawall. Along with the lights and excitement of the parade, spectators will be able to catch trinkets, candy, and beads from the flotilla of boats.
The Lighted Boat Parade, sponsored by the Southwest Louisiana Convention & Visitors Bureau and 92.9 The Lake, is a part of the Lake Charles Lighting Festival. There is no entry fee.
