Just hanging out watching a good movie means a lot to Angie Guidry and 16 year old Kayla. Kayla says, "She's a really good role model."

Angie and Kayla were matched through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program more than seven years ago. Since then they've become the best of "Friends" in a sisterly sort of way. Kayla says, "She gives me advice on a lot of things. I know I can go to her and talk to her." Angie says, "Kayla was nine years old when we were matched and I've seen her grow from a shy to a very outgoing individual, a very poised young lady." Kayla says, "She's really out going. She'll do anything, basically. She's really fun to be with."

And being "Miss Congeniality" comes naturally to Angie. Angie says, "It's a wonderful program because that young child really does appreciate you, what you do for them. They always want to see you, glad to see you, and just the joy that they show on their face when they see you is just a wonderful feeling."

And it doesn't take a "Money Pitt" to make a kid "Happy." Angie says, "To have one on one with that child, it's been a really great experience for both of us." All it takes is a couple of hours twice a month and you too can be a big time director in a young person's life.
