Mrs. Leroy "Margie" Lubin

Mrs Leroy "Margie" Lubin, 71, died Sunday, March 18, 2007, in Lake Charles.  She was a native of Port Barre, Louisiana and lived in Lake Charles most of her life.   She was a member of United Christian Fellowship Church where she served as a greeter.  She was well known for family and friends and loved cooking and being there for them.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Leroy Lubin Sr. of Lake Charles; one daughter, Dianna Lubin Mayo of Lake Charles; one son, Leroy Lubin, Jr. of Lake Charles; one sister, Marceline Hudson of Lake Charles; two grandchildren, Donovan Jamar Mayo and Jade DeVonna Mayo, both of Lake Charles; godchild, Dru Slaughter Freeman of Lake Charles; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by parents Gilbert and Dora Prudhomme Arvie; five sisters, Essie Arvie, Rena Arvie Slaughter, Effie Arvie Bilbo, Agnes Arvie Lute and Thelma Arvie Slaughter, and one brother, Lester Arvie Sr.

Her funeral will be at 1pm, Wednesday, March 21 at United Christian Fellowship Church.  The Rev. Ronald Mayo will officiate.  Burial will be in Combre Memorial Park under the direction of King's Funeral Home.  Visitation is from 11:00am-1:00pm, Wednesday in the church.
