Alabama Tornado Slideshow

March 2, 2007

The mayor of Enterprise, Alabama, says officials have not figured out yet when students who attended the high school that took a direct hit from an apparent tornado will have classes again.

Officials in Enterprise and elsewhere in the Midwest and Southeast are sifting through debris caused by yesterday's violent storm system that's left at least 20 dead, including eight students at the school.

An Alabama high school student who survived a tornado that killed four friends says they just had "a split second" to cover themselves before the storm hit. The tornado blew out the walls and collapsed part of the roof as frightened students huddled in hallways.
