BB/BS match - Whitney & Triana

March 1, 2007
Reported by Pam Dixon

Whitney Armstrong and nine year old Triana met just two months ago but quickly found out birds of a feather do flock together. Triana says, "I always wanted to be in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program and I always wanted a big sister."

The two were matched through the Big Brothers Big Sisters program in January and soon built up an appetite for fun. Whitney says, "Man it's like it's crazy the way we bonded. We have fun. Every time we meet, we have fun."

Whether it's cheek to cheek or beak to beak, just getting together is the name of this game.  Whitney says, "It's being able to go out and have fun doing the things that I used to do when I was little. Most people when they get older, they don't like to go out and go skating or go do little things, go to the park and swing, but I have fun doing it."

All it takes is a couple of hours twice and month and you too can build a lasting friendship bit by bit. If you would like to become a big brother or big sister, call 478-KIDS or click here.
