Man Accused of Killing Wife

A DeQuincy man is accused of killing his wife. Friday afternoon the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Department was called to a home on Roland Barrow Road. Inside they found the body of 65 year old Barbara Barrow. Investigators found evidence leading them to believe that the victim had been strangled. Her husband, 64 year old Roland Barrow, was brought to the Beauregard Parish Jail where he admitted to choking his wife. Roland Barrow was charged with second degree murder and booked into the Beauregard Parish Jail.

    A marsh fire near Grand Chenier in Cameron Parish is believed to be the cause of smoke in the area. Several viewers have reported the smell of smoke and a haze. The same conditions are present near KPLC's office downtown. Dick Gremillion, head of Calcasieu OEP, said that radar is showing what appears to be a marsh fire in Grand Chenier and that wind conditions are favorable to push the smoke into Calcasieu.
