L'Auberge du Lac Hotel and Casino has been open for just over a year now, but already it's expanding to the tune of $45,000,000. The massive hotel complex will soon be growing. The groundbreaking for the new addition took place just hours ago. An additional 250 rooms, suites, and a new resort pool are being added. Pinnacle entertainment CEO Daniel Lee was at the groundbreaking and explains how this project translates into new jobs for Southwest Louisiana. Once the hotel expansion is completed, construction on the entire complex will have cost more than 400 million dollars and Pinnacle Entertainment will employee more than than 2,500 people here in Southwest Louisiana.

Sunshine returns this weekSunshine returns this week

Tonight, it will be very pleasant outside. There will be no chance for rain, and the clouds will continue to clear. With the clouds going away, that will allow temperatures to cool down overnight. Lows will be in the mid 50s. You may need a jacket as you head out the door Monday morning. Monday and Tuesday next week will be very nice to get outside. After the cold front pushes past us over the weekend, there should be plenty of sunshine. Although a few clouds are possible.
