As a news organization, we believe KPLC has an obligation to not just inform our community but to try and make it better.
An editorial board chaired by VP & General Manager Jim Serra has been formed so that KPLC may take a stand on important issues affecting our region. Our editorials run Tuesdays on 7News at 6 and Wednesdays during 7News Sunrise. At the end of each editorial, we invite feedback via our Hot Button Editorial Blog.
Responsible opposing views posted online may be subsequently read on the air. If an editorial takes issue with a specific individual, that person will be invited to respond directly on the air as well as online.
Requests for on-air replies must be received by KPLC's VP & General Manager by 5:00 pm (central time) the Thursday following the initial airing of the editorial. Blog replies for each editorial topic may be posted until the Monday following the editorial's airing.
