SULPHUR, LA (KPLC) - Ruben Moralez, 33, was arrested on the morning of Aug. 8 by Calcasieu Sheriff's deputies for DWI and careless operation of a vehicle.
Kim Myers, with the sheriff's office, said deputies arrived at a night club on South Cities Service Highway in Sulphur in response to a man who was refusing to leave the property.
Upon arrival, deputies stopped a truck which matched the description of the suspect's vehicle.
Deputies state that the driver, Ruben Moralez, smelled of alcohol and was slurring his speech admitting to officers that he had been drinking.
Moralez then refused to perform a field sobriety test.
Moralez was arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center on one count of DWI Third, with his bond set at $26,000 by Judge David Ritchie.
