VINTON, LA (KPLC) - A Vinton man is dead following a single-vehicle crash on Mack Road this morning, according to Sgt. James Anderson with Louisiana State Police.

LSP responded to a single-vehicle crash on U.S. 90 west of Vinton around 2 a.m., says Anderson. After investigating, deputies found that the driver's 2014 Honda Accord was traveling west on U.S. 90 when the vehicle crossed the centerline, traveled off the left side of the road, and struck a tree.

The driver was Adam Bret Vice, 22, and he was not wearing a seatbelt. LSP hasn't yet determined what made the vehicle cross the line. A toxicology sample has been submitted for analysis.

The crash is still under investigation. LSP encourages all drivers to wear seatbelts.
