SULPHUR, LA (KPLC) - A man who climbed an interstate sign on I-10 in Sulphur has now surrendered, according to Sulphur police.
Early Tuesday morning, I-10 eastbound lanes on Beglis Parkway were blocked due to authorities and negotiators attempting to get the man down, says Sulphur police. Authorities say the man climbed due to a domestic dispute. Traffic was diverted to US 108 by Louisiana State Police.
Sulphur police say the man was taken to the hospital for an evaluation. The scene has now been cleared and traffic is moving.
