GR8 Job: Special Olympian returns home

PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) -

A Greene County Special Olympian will be honored July 12 for his work at the recent Special Olympics USA Games in Seattle. 

Jacob James works at the Walmart store on West Kinghighway in Paragould and competed in softball in this year's games. James was one of 14 Walmart associates to participate in the games this year. 

The Arkansas team also received 115 medals at this year's games. 

In a statement, he said the games were important and he enjoyed the games. 

"Having fun with my teammates and play the game and meet everybody," James said of what he enjoyed the most. 

A celebration will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday, July 12 at the Walmart Supercenter on West Kinghighway to honor James.
