Lake Charles man sentenced to 50 years for raping underage girl

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

A Lake Charles man was sentenced to 50 years today for first-degree rape.

Dustin D. Hebert, 33, was arrested in February for raping a 13-year-old female, according to Calcasieu Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Kim Myers.

During the investigation, Hebert confirmed he had been sexually abusing the girl since she was 5 years old, according to detectives.

    Louisiana State Police Troop D is currently investigating a fatal crash involving two vehicles on La. 26, east of Oberlin, according to Sgt. James Anderson.
