School officials: Sulphur High School not on lockdown

Sulphur High School is not on lockdown, according to Holly Holland, Public Information Officer for the Calcasieu Parish School Board.

Several parents reached out to KPLC Thursday morning after hearing the school was on lockdown. Calcasieu Parish schools say that is not the case.

    Four police officers were allegedly refused service at a Jennings Waffle House Saturday morning, according to Police Chief Danny Semmes. A Facebook post made by an officer said that they were refused service simply because they are police officers. It has been shared over 800 times.
