SOWELA aiding manufacturers impacted by Hurricane Harvey

SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA (KPLC) - SOWELA and Manufacturing Extension Partnership (MEP) of Louisiana in collaboration with regional economic development, university, and community colleges are providing free of charge assessment services to manufacturers that have been negatively impacted by the effects of Hurricane Harvey.

MEP of Louisiana will conduct community forums to provide insight on available resources to support those manufacturers affected. SOWELA will serve as host for one of the forums.

Below is the list of forums scheduled for Southwest Lousiana:

  • Wednesday, January 17, 7:30-9 a.m., DeRidder City Hall
  • Wednesday, January 17, 4:30-6p.m., SOWELA, Lake Charles Regional Training Center Auditorium
  • Thursday, January 18, 7:30-9 a.m., Cameron Parish School Board Office
  • Thursday, January 18, 4:30-6p.m., SOWELA, Jennings Instructional Site, Multipurpose Room
