PASS CHRISTIAN, MS (WLOX) -

Pass Christian police have identified and charged Yilka Ocana Martinez, 33, with 2 counts of credit card fraud.

Wednesday afternoon Pass Christian police asked for the public's help in identifying a woman seen in photos from a surveillance video at a Walmart in Pass Christian. Police suspected the woman was connected to a credit card fraud investigation.

After the photos were released to the public, security personnel from the Beau Rivage Casino recognized the individual as a woman at the casino. In fact, the woman appeared to still be wearing the same clothes and carrying the same purse shown in the surveillance video.

The Biloxi Police Department was notified and detained the woman.

The original investigation began after the victim, who lives in Alabama, discovered his credit card was used at the Pass Christian Walmart. The victim reported that he had his credit card in his possession and had never visited Pass Christian.

Investigators discovered the woman in the video, now identified as Martinez, used the credit card to purchase a felony amount of goods.

Bond was set for $20,000.00.

The Pass Christian Police Department has also received calls from other Coast Law Enforcement Agencies that believe this individual may be a person of interest in cases that had taken place in their jurisdiction.
