Chase involving stolen truck ends with one in police custody

LUBBOCK, TX (KCBD) -

At 11:05 this morning Lubbock Police Officers found a red pick-up truck which was listed as stolen out of Slaton, according to police.

When officers tried to pull the vehicle over in the 4300 block of 34th St., the driver led officers on a chase.

After a short chase, the suspect then stopped the vehicle at 42nd Street between Boston & Akron and took off on foot.

Lubbock Police Officers were able to take the suspect into custody at 11:20 a.m.

The identity of the driver has not been released at this time.
