BEAUREGARD PARISH, LA (KPLC) -

A Merryville woman surrendered to authorities after she was accused of firing several shots following an argument, according to Chief Detective Mark Herford, Beauregard Parish Sheriff’s spokesperson.

Priscia F. Rodriguez, 43, was at a residence located near the intersection of La. 389 and Old River Road around 5 p.m. Monday when she began arguing with two other people, Herford said. Rodriguez produced a 9 mm pistol and fired multiple rounds, one of which was intentionally shot into a motorcycle. She then fled the scene.

Rodriguez was later found at her residence, Herford said. After a brief negotiation, she surrendered to law enforcement and was taken into custody without further incident. Rodriguez was booked into the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office jail and charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and one count of simple criminal damage to property.

Bond is pending at this time.
