Jrue Holiday had a big night north of the border. But, it wasn't big enough as the Pelicans lost 122-118 to the Toronto Raptors. The loss snapped the Pels three-game losing streak and gave them their first 'road' loss in the last five games.
Holiday led all scorers with 34-points, including 24 in the first half. And he got some help from the rest of the starters as all five starters scored in double figures tonight.
But, the Raptors were paced by Demar DeRozan's 33-points and every player on the Raptors roster scored as they won their seventh game of the season.
Anthony Davis and DeMarcus Cousins had been dominant during the current road trip. But, they struggled from the field tonight. combining for thirty-eight points and 22-rebounds. But, Cousins also had half of the teams 14-turnovers.
The Pelicans were attempting to post their first 4-0 road trip in team history. But instead, they'll have to settle for 3-1 following victories over Dallas, Chicago and Indiana.
The Pelicans will return home for their next three games, beginning with the L.A. Clippers in town Saturday night.
