METAIRIE, LA (WVUE) -

The New Orleans Saints placed linebacker Michael Mauti on the reserve/non-football injury list Tuesday, meaning he will miss the rest of the season.

The team placed him on the injury list for the Denver Broncos game.

"He's just got to have a procedure done, and it's going to be a decent amount of recovery time. It was just something we felt the timing was right, and I'm going to leave it at that," Saints coach Sean Payton said.

Former Green Bay Packers safety Chris Banjo will replace Mauti on special teams.

He had nine tackles, one sack and a forced fumble this season.

The Saharan dust is still around and is expected to be in a "unhealthy for sensitive groups" today. If you have breathing problems, or asthma, make sure to use caution if you spend any time outdoors. There will also be very warm temperatures, reaching the mid 90s. There will not be any rain to cool these temperatures down. It will likely feel like the triple digits, getting as high as 107 degrees. It will take time for the temperatures to cool down with no rain.
