PASCAGOULA, MS (WLOX) -

Four people and a dog are on dry land after their boat vessel capsized early Thursday morning. The boat was located two miles off the coast of Pascagoula in Bayou Cassate. Luckily one of the boaters was able to contact the Mobile, AL sector of the Coast Guard.

The Pascagoula Coast Guard Station, MH-65C Dolphin helicopter and crew from Air Station New Orleans all assisted in the rescuing the boaters and the dog.

The helicopter was able to guide the crew from the utility boat to the riders on the capsized boat. The four people and their dog were then taken to a Coast Guard Station in Pascagoula.

No injuries were reported.

"We had excellent coordination between our air and surface assets," said Ensign Timothy Williams, a command duty officer for Sector Mobile. That kind of teamwork starts with communication and ends with lives saved."
