Report: Sheldon Rankins carted off Saints practice field with broken fibula

New Orleans Saints first-round draft pick Sheldon Rankins had to be carted off the field during Monday's practice.

According to our partners at NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune, Jenkins suffered a broken fibula and well be out at least six weeks.

The apparent injury occurred during a goal line drill.

There are no specifics right now on what the actual injury may be.

Rankins was selected 12th overall in the 2016 draft and has had a strong training camp.

    Lake Charles police officers are searching for a man whom they say ran after crashing his vehicle into a ditch on Henderson Bayou Road. Lt. Kevin Kirkum said the crash was a single-vehicle accident. Henderson Bayou Road runs along the south side of Prien Lake Park. A witness said the man was driving erratically, driving onto the sidewalks at the park before crossing the bridge over the bayou and crashing the vehicle.
