Report: Sheldon Rankins carted off Saints practice field with broken fibula

New Orleans Saints first-round draft pick Sheldon Rankins had to be carted off the field during Monday's practice.

According to our partners at NOLA.com | The Times-Picayune, Jenkins suffered a broken fibula and well be out at least six weeks.

The apparent injury occurred during a goal line drill.

There are no specifics right now on what the actual injury may be.

Rankins was selected 12th overall in the 2016 draft and has had a strong training camp.

    Ainsley's Angels of America held their 5th annual Sunset 5K on Saturday at the Civic Center. Close to 400 people participated in this year's event. Race director Kristine Seaward says they also had over 70 assisted athlete riders, the most they've every had at one event.     A Lake Charles man has been arrested after a fatal crash in Sulphur early Sunday morning, according to Sulphur Police Chief Lewis Coats. Coats says at approximately 2:30 a.m., a head-on collision occurred on Beglis Parkway. A man was transported to an area hospital where he died of his injuries. Christian McCoy, 24, Lake Charles, was arrested and charged with vehicular homicide and careless operation. Coats says he was released after posting an $11,000 bond. 7News will update ...More >>
