TUSCOLA COUNTY, MI (WNEM) -

One person is dead and another is in critical condition after a car accident on Sunday.

It happened about 1:38 p.m. on Millington Road near Belsay Road in Tuscola County's Arbela Township.

A vehicle was traveling eastbound on Millington Road when the driver, William Brockman, 52, from Mt. Morris, lost control due to weather conditions, the Tuscola County Sheriff's Office said.

The vehicle rolled over and came to a rest in a ditch filled with water. The occupants were trapped inside the vehicle, the sheriff's office said.

Rosanna Brockman, 46, from Mt. Morris, who was a passenger in the vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

William, her husband, was transported to St. Mary's Hospital for treatment. He is in critical condition.

The incident is still under investigation.

The Saharan dust has diminished a little bit. There is still a good amount around, but the conditions are slowly improving. The air quality index is in a moderate condition, so continue to use caution if you have any breathing or allergy concerns. There will be a few clouds, at times mostly cloudy during the day. There will also be plenty of sunshine peeking its way through the clouds here and there. I have a 20% chance of some rain, but that is being very generous.
