Copy-Pelicans beat Clippers without injured star Anthony Davis

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - With Anthony Davis sitting out, his Pelicans teammates found a way against the playoff-bound Los Angeles Clippers Sunday night. The 109-105 win was the teams second in the last three games and it came against all odds.

Earlier in the day, Pelicans Head Coach Alvin Gentry announced that Davis' season was over because of injuries. Shoulder and knee injuries that will require surgery, have prompted the franchise to shut their all-star forward down for the teams final 14 games.

Against Chris Paul and the Clippers, Jrue Holiday was the best guard on the court. Finishing with a team high 22-points. In all, six Pelicans finished in double-figure scoring.

This was the Pelicans first win against a team 'not' named Sacramento since they beat Oklahoma City back on February 15th.

Next up for the Pels is a Tuesday night match-up against Miami, inside the Smoothie King Center.
