80 percent of funding needed to break ground on hurricane museum has been raised

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) -

Eighty percent of the funds needed to break ground on the National Hurricane Museum & Science Center have been raised, according to information from Chairman Gray Stream.

Construction on the $70 million facility is expected to begin in 2016.

In between any showers, we will have warm temperatures for southwest Louisiana.
