Coming up on 7News at Noon: Back our Blue

SOUTHWEST LOUISIANA (KPLC) - Agnes DeRouen in the KPLC newsroom with a look at what we're working on for 7News at Noon.

Gov. Bobby Jindal has proclaimed today a statewide "Day of Prayer for Law Enforcement." At noon, KPLC's Scottie Hunter is in Allen Parish for one program called "Back our Blue."

Meanwhile, a Kentucky state trooper was killed in a shooting during a chase in western Kentucky. Trooper Joseph Cameron Ponder, 31, was conducting a traffic stop Sunday night when the driver fled and a chase ending with the shooting. Look for more at noon, and you can read more HERE.

They're trained to be teachers and role models, but a high school coach is being hailed as a hero for saving the life of a swimmer who went into cardiac arrest.

Plus, a South Carolina groom dives into ocean after d ropping his bride's wedding band overboard. You can read more HERE.
