40th Annual Palm Sunday Tour of Homes set for March 29

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - The 40th Annual Palm Sunday Tour of Homes will take place this Sunday in Southwest Louisiana.

Participants will tour four historical gems, including the

at 825 South Division Street, the

at 1010 Enterprise Boulevard, the

at 4507 Young and the

on Hwy 384.

The tour is headed by the Calcasieu Historical Preservation Society, who will have anecdotes to share about the structures and their occupants.

Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 the day of the tour. They are available for purchase at

or at Gordon's Drugstore on Lake Street in Lake Charles and the Arts and Humanities Council office at Central School in Lake Charles.

Ticket holders will be given brochures with information about the homes and suggested routes. Members of the CHPS will be at the properties to assist patrons and provide additional information.

A brunch will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Harlequin Restaurant on College Street ahead of the tour. Proceeds will benefit preservation efforts at the Old Catholic Cemetery in Lake Charles.
