LCCB preparing for Assemble 2015

LAKE CHARLES, LA (KPLC) - The Lake Charles Civic Ballet is preparing for Assemblé 2015, their first performance of the new year.

The event will take place at 7 p.m. on March 21 and 3 p.m. on March 22.

Tickets start at $30 are available for purchase

or by calling the Lake Charles Civic Center Box Office at 337-491-1432.

Assemblé is a collaborative effort between the dance company and community members. It features John Ieyoub as "The King" with choreography by Damien Thibodeaux, the LCCB original "Ou est La Fox?" with music composed by Jeffrey Roy, and other works with accompaniment by Chris Miller, Laurie Robertson and other local musicians.

"Assemblé 2015 seeks to reach across the bounds of ballet and dance to fuse together a wide range of talent in our local artistic community. With such a broad variety of dance and art performed at this year's event, there will truly be something for everyone," said the LCCB in a news release.
