Lake Charles Police investigating woman's death as homicide

Good Evening,

Lee Peck here in the 7 Newsroom with a look at some of the stories we're working on for Nightcast.

A woman is found dead in a 5th Avenue residence and Lake Charles Police suspect foul play. We'll have details of the ongoing investigation.

Six homeless men in Lake Charles were treated like royalty this weekend thanks to a local motorcycle club. KPLC's Erika Ferrando has the story of how the men were given a push to change their lives for the better.

In 2002, two-missionaries from Kansas were taken hostage by the Filipino terror group, Abu Sayyaf for more than a year.  Today, the woman held captive visited Lake Charles to tell her and her husband's story. KPLC's Haley Rush has this story.

Plus, a former Mossville coach was honored at a special church service this morning. KPLC's  Monica Grimaldo was there as the community paid respect to Coach Willaims.

And if you liked this weekend weather, you'll like what Meteorologist Zack Fradella has to say.

We'll see you tonight at Ten for these stories and more. Until then, we're always on at
