Good Friday morning to you! Britney Glaser here with a look at what's in store on today's Sunrise:
*We are following developing news out of Paris, France where gunfire has erupted and at least one hostage has been taken 20 miles northeast of the area. Find out what French authorities are saying about an operation that is underway to capture two brothers suspected in the attack on a magazine office this week that left 12 people dead.
*A stalled 18-wheeler on I-10 westbound near Enterprise Boulevard has lanes blocked as crews work to clear the roadway. We'll keep you posted on when this roadway is reopened.
*The Lake Charles Fire Department is on the scene of a structure fire this morning on HWY 14 near 9th Street. Our morning photographer is there bringing us live video where smoke is still showing between the Sonic and Chevron.
*Schools remain open today as we brace for another cold day. Meteorologist Ben Terry is tracking light rain in our area and will explain how significant any sleet could be in Southwest Louisiana. He will also have a look ahead to the remainder of the weekend.
*Just a reminder if you are the parent of a student at Hamilton Christian Academy in Lake Charles: school is not in session today because of a power outage.
