Roanoke woman arrested for the 6th time for marijuana possession

Good Afternoon,

Lee Peck in the KPLC 7 Newsroom with a look at what we're working on today.

Earlier today, Sulphur Police and the State Police bomb squad responded to the scene of a suspicious device found at the Motel Six on Ruth Street. Authorities discovered it was nothing serious, but not before evacuating the property.

Plus, a Roanoke woman is arrested for the 6th time for marijuana possession as she attempted to sneak it and other contraband into the Jeff Davis Parish jail.

Also, Louisiana cracks down on drunk drivers with stricter DWI laws starting in two days. KPLC's Haley Rush talks with local prosecutors about the changes and what to expect.

And no sunshine today as the clouds decided to stick around. Meteorologist Zack Fradella will have your forecast.

We'll see you tonight at Five and Six for these stories and more. Until then, we're always on at kplctv.com.
