*U.S. Senator David Vitter has announced he's been placed on the powerful Senate Judiciary Committee. One of the key roles of the committee is in dealing with immigration. Find out Vitter's stance on this controversial issue.
*Funeral and burial arrangements are set for Calcasieu Parish Police Juror and city employee, James Mayo. He died in his sleep over the weekend. We'll tell you about the viewing set for this Friday at the Rosa Hart Theatre and the funeral set for Saturday.
*Recent fatal crashes across the state has Louisiana State Police Superintendent Mike Edmonson making a plea to all drivers to work together to make the roads safer. LSP has responded to 41 fatal crashes in just 24 days, included a triple fatality in Beauregard Parish over the weekend.
*A new report says the state Department of Children & Family Services is not documenting people who receive its services. Find out why over a million dollars is at stake for the DCFS if the feds get involved
