Fourth house fire in SWLA within one week

Good Thursday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here with a look at what's in store on today's Sunrise:

*A Lake Charles family is homeless this morning following a house fire.  This is the fourth house fire the Red Cross of Southwest Louisiana has responded to over the past week.  We'll tell you where it happened and how many people are affected.

*A new study of the bear subspecies that inspired teddy bears finds that Louisiana black bears are unlikely to disappear in the next century, as long as conditions remain stable.  Hear how that could affect the bears' position on the list of threatened animals in Louisiana.

*Christmas is right around the corner and we are going to help you get into the holiday spirit this morning with a live interview from performers with "The Nutcracker."  Find out how you can be a part of the showings for this classic Christmas ballet.

*From a presentation of dozens of musical instruments benefiting local students to an event to help you stop smoking for good, we have the dayplanner highlight what's happening across the area today.

*Meteorologist Ben Terry tells us we can lose some of the layers as we experience a warming trend.  He's also tracking what looks to be a stormy weekend.

Make it a Sunrise day!
