World record attempt on Sunrise with strongman Jeff Bankens

Good Tuesday morning to you and happy Veterans Day!  Britney Glaser here with a look at what's in store on today's Sunrise:

*Today is a day to pause and say "thank you" to the selfless men and women who are serving or have served our nation in the military.  We'll have a rundown of many of the events taking place today from Jennings to Vinton and Lake Charles.

*You are in for a treat in our 6:00 hour of Sunrise!  I'll be heading to Westlake to interview Strongman Jeff "T-Rex" Bankens as he tries to break a world record this morning by pulling two vehicles with his own strength.

*Orlando Thomas, a former University of Louisiana-Lafayette and Minnesota Vikings football standout passes away at the age of 42.  He battled ALS for several years.  We'll take a look back at some of his biggest career accomplishments.

*The Carpenters Bridge near Kinder is closed today after a scary accident involving boards cracking underneath a vehicle.  We'll tell you what we know about the closure and response to repair it.

*Get ready for a big temperature drop later today!  Meteorologist Ben Terry tells us this morning will be mild, but later today we will be more than 20 degrees lower.  He'll take a look at the colder weather that is expected to stick around for several days.

Make it a Sunrise day!
