Plea to help repair local building for Disabled American Veterans

Good Monday morning to you! Britney Glaser here with a look at what's in store on today's Sunrise:

*Just ahead of Veterans Day, we are bringing you a live report from the Disabled American Veterans building in Lake Charles that is in disrepair. John Bridges will be live in our 6:00 hour to tell you how you can pitch in to bring this building back to a source of pride in the community.

*Governor Bobby Jindal puts a partial freeze on state spending for most agencies. The order covers the rest of the budget year and hiring for many positions. We'll tell you what's behind the recent money woes.

*The Lafayette Parish School Board votes to fire Superintendent Pat Cooper immediately. This comes after the board finds he breached his contract in four matters. Find out the discrepancies and what's next for this district.

*Louisiana is topping the list for states across the country making progress in punishments on human trafficking. Hear the legislation being credited with helping change these numbers.

*Meteorologist Ben Terry tells us rain chances are on the increase this week and that much cooler air is on the way. Don't miss the changing forecast that shows a 45 degree temperature swing!

Make it a Sunrise day!
