Breaking down constitutional amendments on November ballot

Good Monday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here with a look at what's in store on today's Sunrise:

*Voters head to the polls one week from tomorrow.  Among some of the big items on the ballot is a constitutional amendment number 11, which would expand state government.  Find out what it would change and how you can read up on all of the other proposed constitutional amendments.

*Louisiana's major senate candidates seldom have shared the same stage.  But that is going to change Wednesday, when they meet in a Raycom Media debate in Baton Rouge.  KPLC will be broadcasting it and we have a preview this morning.

*If you want to avoid some of the lines of the election day rush, we'll tell you how you can vote early.  That opportunity ends tomorrow.

*We are opening the Sunrise Pet Shop this morning to introduce you to an animal in need of a loving home.  You don't want to miss that in our 6:00 half hour.

*It's been a while since we have seen rain in Southwest Louisiana.  Meteorologist Ben Terry says the chance for rain is higher this week.  He'll have your extended forecast all the way through Halloween.

Make it a Sunrise day!
