Bringing relief with medical bills for rape victims in LA

Good Monday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here with a look at what's in store on today's Sunrise:

*State leaders say they are working to bring relief to rape victims who receive hefty bills for medical care.  The Department of Health and Hospitals and the Jindal administration are expected to release details today about a three part plan ranging from billing for exams to tests and hospital stays.

*Have you had a chance to check out a sample ballot for the election in November?  If so, you know there are several amendments you will be voting on.  This morning, we'll explain what they cover and how you can find more information about them before casting your ballot.

*Speaking of voting, early voting for the November elections starts tomorrow.  Find out what you need to do if you want to avoid some of the lines on election day.

*It's an exciting day in Jeff Davis Parish where the library headquarters are celebrating a reopening after a $150,000 renovation project.  We'll tell you about the new and improved library headquarters on Plaquemine Street in Jennings.

*We are opening the Sunrise Pet Shop this morning to introduce you to an animal in need of a loving home!
