U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu set to address workers at Citgo Plant in Sulphur

Good Thursday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here with a look at what's in store on today's Sunrise:

*U.S. Senator Mary Landrieu is set to be in Southwest Louisiana this morning to address workers at the Citgo Plant in Sulphur.  She has pledged to continue blocking a Venezuelan sanctions bill that she says would hurt employees of the refinery.

*Crowley police are warning business owners of a scam involving a caller impersonating a detective with the fraud unit of CPD.  Find out what the caller is asking for and what you need to do if you are targeted.

*The investigation continues in Beauregard Parish following a shooting involving two sheriff's deputies and a suspect.  The suspect is dead and we'll tell you why self-defense could be the reason shots were fired by deputies.

*Two serious mosquito-borne viruses are sickening people in Louisiana.  Plus, 30 states are now reporting lab confirmed cases of enterovirus 68, including Louisiana.  I'll talk to an infection preventionist about the biggest health threats going around this week.

Make it a Sunrise day!
