Royal pregnancy confirmed, City of LC to address drainage, Sunrise Pet Shop

Good Monday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here with a look at what's in store on today's Sunrise:

*Breaking news this morning out of London: The Duchess of Cambridge, wife of Prince William, is expecting her second child.  The royal families are reportedly "delighted" by the news.  Kate Middleton is once again being treated for severe morning sickness.

*A news conference today will address the recent problems with drainage in Lake Charles.  This comes after many residents have complained that heavy rains are causing new flooding problems that have never been so bad.

*Unemployed residents of Southwest Louisiana have the opportunity to receive on-the-job training and classroom help.  We will tell you about an informational meeting this afternoon at the Business and Career Solutions Center in Lake Charles.

*Do you have extra love to give to an animal in need?  We are opening the Sunrise Pet Shop this morning to introduce you to a sweet pet in need of a forever family.

Make it a Sunrise day!

A few showers possible Monday for the eclipseA few showers possible Monday for the eclipse

Overnight, we will have clouds clear and will become mostly clear. Temperatures will slowly fall to the mid 70s. It will feel very warm due to the humidity. Heat indices will be in the 80s, throughout the night. Monday, the day of the eclipse, there is just a 30% chance of rain, so we will most likely have a few clouds during the time of the eclipse. There could be a few showers around the peak of the eclipse, but more likely, at least some clouds.
