(KPLC) (KPLC)
RAGLEY, LA (KPLC) - Highway 12 between DeQuincy and Ragley has been shut down, due to a vehicle accident involving a logging truck.

According to Joe Toler, spokesperson for the Beauregard Parish Sheriff's Office, all lanes are closed in both directions near the intersection of La. 12 and Cooley Road South, about 2 miles east of Ragley. Traffic is being diverted onto Camp Edgewood.

Toler said that state police have been notified.

One of the drivers was transported to a hospital in DeQuincy. There is no word yet on any possible additional injuries.

No time frame has been set for reopening the road but the truck was not carrying logs at the time of the crash.
