Lake Charles residents woke up to a down pour of rain Saturday morning. Motorists were advised to stay off the roadways if possible, and those that drove were in several feet of water and many vehicles stalled.

Lake Charles resident, Mark Brevelle, said he sees cars stall every time there is heavy rain.

Brevelle said, "The last time I came in the parking lot there was literally six cars in the parking lot that were all stalled they all had to get towed off."

Rosa Herbert's car stalled on her way to work. She said, "The streets are all flooded, so you really don't know which way to go to avoid the water. So I said well I'll try this way after I saw a truck, I turn, water everywhere, car wouldn't start"

They believe the flooding issue is getting worse and hope to see something done soon.
