A Flash Flood Watch remains in effect for the entire area through Sunday morning.
The combination of an approaching frontal boundary along with an abundance of tropical moisture surging out of the Gulf of Mexico led to numerous showers and thunderstorms Saturday. Most areas have received between 1 and 6 inches of rain with isolated spots seeing as much as 8 inches. Another 1 to 3 inches is possible on Sunday.
The heaviest rains have moved off to the east, but additional storm develop is possible on Sunday. Those of you in low lying areas and are prone to flooding should continue to monitor the latest weather developments carefully. Remember, never drive your vehicle through flooded roadways as you never know how deep the water really is.
