JENNINGS, LA (KPLC) -

A Lake Arthur sex offender has been arrested, following an investigation by the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff's Office into complaints that he was observed at a local park.

During the course of the investigation, detectives discovered that 26-year-old Brent Wayne Delino, a registered sex offender, had entered the premises of the Franklin City Park in Jennings as part of an adult league baseball event.

Investigators say Delino was also using social media (Instagram and Twitter) and that he had failed to notify authorities of his change of residence, employment and vehicle use.

Delino, who was convicted of sexual battery in 2007, was arrested on charges of unlawful use of social networking, unlawful presence of a sex offender and failure to register.

He was booked into the Jefferson Parish Jail without bond.
