McNeese celebrates Howdy Rowdy Week

The fall 2014 semester begins August 25 at McNeese State University. To welcome back students, McNeese will host several on-campus activities from August 24-29.

Scheduled events are as follows:

Sunday: Welcome Back Party at 7 p.m. at the Memorial Gymnasium and Quad Area, including free food, music, group competitions and more from the Student Life Coalition.

Monday: Get Connected Day from 9 a.m. to noon at the New Ranch (Student Union Annex). Representatives from campus offices and academic departments will be on hand to hand out brochures and answer questions.

Tuesday: Student Organizations Fair from 9 a.m. to noon at the New Ranch. Members of over 120 student organizations will be present to discuss their group's purpose and campus involvement.

Wednesday: Welcome Back Wednesday and Meet the Greeks from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the quad. SUB will provide free food, music, games and prizes. Sororities and fraternities will be on hand to recruit members.

Thursday: Campus Ministry Day from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the New Ranch. Local churches and student ministry organizations will distribute information regarding worship services and meetings.

Friday: Community Day from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the New Ranch. Local businesses and community service agencies will staff booths with information about their organizations, including part-time employment and internship opportunities.
