West Nile virus cases rise in Louisiana, along with Chikungunya

Good Monday morning to you!  Britney Glaser here with a look at what's in store on today's Sunrise:

*The number of cases of West Nile virus continues to grow in Louisiana.  We'll tell you about the severity of the 13 new cases.

*A mosquito-borne virus spreading throughout the Caribbean shows up in Louisiana.  Scientists at the LSU AgCenter say there are eight known cases of the Chikungunya virus in the state.  Find out how it sickens those affected.

*Congratulations are in order for Daina Daigle from Iowa.  She won a 2014 Creative Arts Emmy over the weekend for Outstanding Hairstyle in a Mini-Series or Movie.  See which series Daigle has been a part of this year!

*A plane crash in Natchitoches claims the life of a grandfather and sends a former city councilman to the hospital.  Find out what led to the tragic crash.
