Lafayette man wanted on charge of attempted second-degree murder

Lafayette, LA (KPLC) - A Lafayette man is wanted on a charge of attempted second-degree murder, following an investigation by detectives with the Lafayette Police Department into a disturbance.

According to investigators, the disturbance took place on August 9 at about 10 p.m. in the 200 block of Eastland Drive.

The suspect, identified as 33-year-old Demetrius Davis, allegedly fired a shot at a victim during a verbal altercation. Lafayette Police say the victim was not injured and that Davis fled the scene following the disturbance.

Anyone with information on the location of Davis is asked to call Lafayette Police or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
